Card #99 - Snowman Swap

Snowman card swap!!!  Loved making this card and thinking of cold weather.  Our summer has been hot in North Texas but nothing like the last two years.  Today the weather was nice enough to shut off the A/C and open a few windows--very unusual in July.  We even managed to get a nice slow rain which we desperately need since our water sources are almost a 30% capacity.  I used the sunburst paper technique for the DSP background using up scrap of old Christmas Papers.  You can learn more about the sunburst technique here on Scrap and Stamp with Frenchie.

Card #96 and 97- Washi Tape Cards

Washi tape is popping up everywhere in the craft world. I am very familiar with Washi paper's from Japan that I absolutely adore, they are so beautiful and hold up very well. I still have several pieces left in my paper stash that I bought over 20 years ago while living in The Land of the Rising Sun. Hubby and I are both retired AF, we met and married in Tokyo--very exotic at that time. Now I have joined a Washi Tape card swap on Swap-Bot so I have taken the plunge into the world of Washi tape. So far so simple.

Card #94, Blue - For a Friend

Many months ago I had to make a blue card for a swap on Swap-Bot.com
and this is the result. I found a sketch on a blog and put this card together using scraps and a button. Pretty simple.  I made months ago and I found it sitting in my blog drafts waiting to be posted.  Hmmm, guess I shouldn't have stayed away so long from my blog.  I still want to create 365 cards this year, I am behind by 100, time to get to work.

Card #93, Green Thank-you

This card I cased from Kristina Werner on the Simon Says Stamp March 2013 Card Kit Blog.  It is virtually the same as the one she made except I did not add faux stitching.  This is my favorite card kit from SSS thus far, I loved the colors, the stamp set and all the extra goodies that came with it. If you have never tried kits, I highly recommend the monthly kits from SSS. You can buy them for $24.95 plus shipping or join the monthly club for $19.95 plus shipping.

Card #92 - Coffee Or Tea??

Recently, I needed to make a card for a Coffee or Tea theme for a swap and  my internal inspiration meter was on low, so  I turned to Pinterest for ideas and viola, a cup pocket card. I forgot to take a picture with the lid off, it has a piece of cardstock attached for a message.  The feedback from was swap partner was very positive.   It measures 4" x 5" and fits in an A4 envelope.
